Buddy Up: Tribal Wars Adds New Mentoring System

If you tried out Innogames’ browser based Tribal Wars but had a bit of difficultly learning the game, then today’s announcement should help you out. If Tribal Wars isn’t your kind of game, then the new Mentoring System isn’t going to change that so you can skip to the next MMOBomb story.

The new Mentoring System allows experienced players and neophytes to be matched up based on achievements so the Mentor can show the new player the ropes. Mentors can assign quests to newer, less experienced players and in return get community recognition through a “scoring” system that increases based on how happy their students are with their help.

It’s pretty basic at the moment and the rewards for actually being a mentor are really only pride based, but if it helps out some new players, who am I to complain? I remember Final Fantasy XI having a mentoring system as well and I enjoyed being a mentor even though initially there wasn’t much in it for me to do so.

You can check out Tribal Wars in your browser or get it from Google Play or the App Store.
