Spencer Talks About DX12 Adoption & More, says “PC/XOne Games Will Full DX12 Support Likely In 2015”

Recently, Stardock CEO Brad Wardell stated that Microsoft, AMD, Nvidia and Intel are lying about the benefits of DirectX 12 on PC and Xbox One. This statement started a major controversy, and Xbox Division Boss Phil Spencer was forced to issue a clarification statement via Twitter: “We haven’t lied about DX12 on XB1. Speed increase over DX11 depends on how your code works.”

Today, Phil Spencer via Twitter has shared some more interesting update about DirectX 12, Xbox One and PC. Spencer has revealed that Xbox/PC gamers will most likely start to game with full advantage of DirectX 12 on PC and Xbox One in 2015 (later this year).

Spencer further commented on a query from fan on “Developers Adoption DirectX 12 natively”. He went on to state that he thinks developers/studios will what is best for them and the fact that DX12 will be available on both Xbox One and PC, developers won’t find shortage of DX12 gamers.

“Obviously studios will do what is best for them. DX12 across Xbox1 & Win10 will give devs a lot of DX12 gamers.”

It is expected that upcoming Xbox One exclusive games: “Halo 5: Guardians and Forza 6” will be the first set of games to utilize DirectX 12.

Additionally, Phil Spencer and Aaron Greenberg recently visited Turn10 Studios (possibly checked out the latest build of Forza 6) and were left rather happy.

“Spending afternoon with amazing team @Turn10Studios with @XboxP3 @guywelch2000 @blainh @dan_greenawalt so much hotness here!” tweeted Aaron.

“Always leave @Turn10Studios inspired, great racing studio” replied Spencer.

It seems like Microsoft has already started preparing ground for another massive Xbox One showing at E3 2015 and are leaving no stone unturned to win Holiday Season 2015.
