Sony will earn $2 to $3 for every Xbox One Unit Sold

The rarest of rare advantage PS3 have over its rival Xbox 360 is Blu-Ray drive. This advantage won’t carry over between PS4 and Xbox One, as both next-gen consoles supports Blu-ray. However this has come at a cost for Microsoft.

In the latest episode of “Pach-Attack”, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter predicted how much Sony would earn from Blu-ray license. Pachter said, Sony will get approximately $2 to $3 or two pounds, per Xbox One unit sold.

Pachter further predicted that Sony will get between $150 to $200 million from Microsoft for Blu-ray license. This might not be a massive amount for both firm, but the fact it that Microsoft have to pay their main competitor “Sony” for every Xbox One unit they sold in the market.

This seems like a win-win situation for Sony. What you guys have to say on this, let us know your views in the comment section below.
