Apple brings Essential Hall of Fame to iTunes App Store

Apple has introduced an iTunes App Store ‘Hall of Fame’ bringing together a selection of top rated apps.

That selection currently lists 46 titles on the UK iTunes App Store including Angry Birds, Cut The Rope, Brushes, Dragon Dictation, Facebook, IMDb Movies & TV, Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals, Nike+ GPS, Pulse News Mini and Real Racing.

The US store lists a more rounded 50 titles, with additional titles specific to the country.

Apple describes the selection as the “very best of the best,” containing a mix of free and paid apps.

Distimo, which offers iTunes App Store analytics, estimates that the store had around 300,000 plus apps in October 2010, so the introduction of an Apple selected best of should help focus attention on those apps and further boost sales and downloads.

Additionally, Distimo believes Apple currently adds more than 12,000 new iPhone apps and close to 5,500 new iPad apps each month to the iTunes App Store.

I would like to put forth that Modding should be stricken from this article. Mods are not done by the develope1. if you want to including modding as being in developement red alert 2 has never been finished yet. sure some devs make mods easier to integrate with their game but that is not the Same as supporting it. Mod teams are respo1ible for any technical problems that arise and any issues the use1 are having.
